10 THINGS I KNOW ABOUT YOU
With Simon Taylor
2011 Melbourne Fringe Festival Review

Simon Taylor would easily have to be one of the best performers I've seen. When you see Simon Taylor, you're not just watching a comedian, you're getting the whole performance package complete with singing, dancing and even a little bit of magic.
But what's most intriguing is his comedy.
His fascination with the human mind has given him a complex understanding of human behaviour which is highlighted in this show 10 Things I Know About You. Covering topics like love and morality, not only does he give some insight into the methods behind human madness, but he keeps it relevant and, even more importantly, he keeps it funny.
His energy and charisma on stage almost reminded me of a US talk show (except that he also managed to have interesting and intellectual content).
His endearing nature made him seem at times a little more vulnerable, enabling him to connect with the audience on a deeper level.
His grasp of language, timing and character kept the audience engaged and laughing while his content kept us intrigued.
As the aspects of his show were so varied in content and performance style, it's difficult to isolate any particular highlights, but my own personal favourite would have been his love song based on physiological processes of the mind and body.
Keep an eye out for Simon Taylor, it won't be long before he's gracing bigger stages.
