QUADRAPHONIC KALEIDOSCOPE
Presented by This is Siberian Husky
2011 Melbourne Fringe Festival Review

Quadraphonic Kaleidoscope is a series of short sketches acted out by the sketch comedy duo This is Siberian Husky.
The lighting and sound effects are used extremely well to set both the physical and emotional context of the show, drawing the audience into a scene before swiftly pulling the rug out from under them.
When the plot ideas aren't strange, the characters are, but it is performed to great comedic effect.
The strength of the duo's acting helps create some memorable characters and events and carries scenes that few comedians would be able to pull off.
The dialogue flowed effortlessly as they bounced off each other, building the excitement and laughter through the scenes.
Despite the absurdity of the scenarios and dialogue, there were only a few where the craziness didn't feel comedically justified.
Highlights included scenes where stationary was sold as black market items and their attempts to help a man who had planned to jump off a building.
Their ideas were dark at times but were always clever and often came with a twist to take the edge off and enable the audience to laugh.
For those who like surreal comedy, this is one duo to keep an eye on.
