FELICITY WARD - HONESTLY
2011 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Review

Felicity Ward says that being a comedian is a ridiculous job and maybe it is, but she does it with such skill that who cares?
She clearly loves to interact with her audience and makes them a part of the show at every opportunity. She begins by getting Martin the chef to back announce himself from underneath a blanket and introduces us to the joy of auto tune on the iPhone. Ward engages again with the audience when she gets a volunteer up on stage to sing with her using the auto tune iPhone app.
She talks to us about her anxiety disorder and the joy she finds in shop title puns including the marvellous 'Halal is it meat you're looking for'. Another opportunity to involve the audience arises when she takes down some pun shop titles which she promises to email to the mailing list after the festival.
Felicity Ward is engaging and charming as she takes us through a variety of subjects loosely held together but the audience forgives her as they clearly love her as much as she loves them.
