Looking at the album cover, it a warning that it contains strong impact coarse language and that was certainly the first thing I noticed when listening to it. The first instalment of Politically Incorrect is a compilation of songs and routines from various Australian and international artists. With 20 tracks, it almost reads like a politically incorrect checklist with songs and routines about ugly people, disabilities, lesbians, hookers, etc. While the CD boasts some big names (Monty Python, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy, Kevin Bloody Wilson), some of the real gems come from lesser-known comedians (who have still been quite successful in their own right but wouldn't be household names). Highlights include Lewis Black talking about milk, Jim Jefferies on lesbians and Russell Peters on haggling with Chinese people. At times, the CD feels like it's pulling for shock laughs through its profanities and sexual content, but it levels out with some clever songs and routines. This CD is definitely not for the easily offended, but for those with a dark and devious sense of humour, it hits the right chords.
